2026 School-Level Vocational Skills Competition for Students concludes successfully.
The College of Mechanic (COM) recently held the closing ceremony of the 2026 School-Level Vocational Skills Competition for Students. The event took place on May 29 after three days of exciting and serious competition. The competition under the theme “Practice Skills – Enhance Competence – Build a Strong Future” attracted more than 50 students from various vocational fields across the college.

The ceremony marked the successful closing of a meaningful and practical vocational skills competition, contributing to the enhancement of training quality and encouraging students to strengthen their learning motivation and vocational competence.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s competition attracted 53 students across 9 key vocational fields, including automotive technology, industrial electricity, welding, metal cutting, refrigeration and air conditioning technology, industrial automation, mechatronics, computer maintenance and assembly technology, and road construction equipment operation.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Rector and Head of the Organizing Committee, highly commended the contestants for their seriousness and efforts in making the event a success. He also praised the dedication and enthusiasm of the lecturers, judges, and Organizing Committee members in guiding the students."

The Vocational Skills Competition is a valuable opportunity for students to develop their technical skills, professional work ethic, and real-world experience. The college will continue to organize and promote similar activities to help students improve their vocational proficiency, showcase their talents, and better prepare for their future careers,” Mr. Nguyen Kim Son emphasized.

During the competition, participants competed in a variety of practical tests designed to reflect current industry requirements and vocational skill standards. They demonstrated confidence, creativity, and the effective application of professional knowledge. Many students displayed excellent technical competence, completing their tasks skillfully while meeting technical requirements and time constraints. Their adaptability and professionalism were clearly shown in these high-quality performances.

The students maintained a vibrant and disciplined atmosphere throughout the competition, demonstrating a positive learning spirit and a strong commitment to vocational skill excellence.


Based on the results of the competition, the Organizing Committee presented awards to outstanding students in each vocational field. A total of 7 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes, and 7 Third Prizes were awarded to 21 outstanding students from both the intermediate and college levels. In addition, Certificates of Participation went to the remaining 32 contestants in recognition of their efforts throughout the competition.
